History:
Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine was established in 1973 under Hacettepe University. The Faculty of Medicine was established under the name of "Samsun Faculty of Medicine" in 1973 under the name of Hacettepe University and started education and training in the 1973 academic year. With the establishment of Ondokuz Mayıs University in 1975 with the law numbered 1873, the Faculty was affiliated to this university. Until 1978, it continued its activities within the body of Hacettepe University.
