The Theoretical Structure and Academic Objectives of the Department
Within our department, using the capabilities of modern science and technology, we aim to train high-quality students, assistants, scientists, and healthcare professionals in the field of Medical Biochemistry within the context of higher education. Additionally, we provide highquality routine Medical Biochemistry laboratory services within the scope of the Health Application and Research Center. We offer theoretical and practical education in Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry to students of the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Health Sciences, and the School of Health Services. As part of their rotations, we provide education to Medical Specialization students from the Departments of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Nuclear Medicine, Medical Microbiology, Medical Pharmacology, and Physiology, as well as Master's and Doctoral (PhD) students affiliated with our department at the Institute of Health Sciences.
In addition to these, our department is open to receiving intern students from both domestic and international sources who wish to participate in theoretical and practical studies to enhance their knowledge and skills in technology and science.
Several scientific research projects are currently underway in our department, and the research results are presented at national and international conferences and published in national and international journals.

Future Plans for the Department
Our Medical Biochemistry laboratories are actively engaged in numerous scientific research projects within the scope of R&D. The results of these research initiatives are presented at scientific conferences and published as articles in relevant journals. In the spirit of multidisciplinary collaboration, several ongoing research projects are underway, and new projects are being devised. It is essential to establish a Molecular Pathology and Toxicology Laboratory to expand our capabilities further. The current location and layout of our department are not conducive to efficient workflow, occupational health, and safety. To address this, the Department is planning to redesign and relocate to the central medical biochemistry laboratory at the Health Application and Research Center, ensuring alignment with workplace safety and occupational health standards.
