Internal Medical Sciences
While the relevant departments conduct educational activities on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases at different stages and years of pregraduation medical education,specialty training and subspecialty training in medicine are also provided. Medical diagnosis and treatment of patients are carried out at the Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine Health Application and Research Center.
Internal Medical Departments: Department of Emergency Medicine, Department of Forensic Medicine, Department of Family Medicine, Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disorders, Department of Child Health and Diseases, Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Department of Pulmonary Diseases, Department of Public Health, Department of Aerospace Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Department of Cardiology, Department of Neurology, Department of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Mental Health and Disorders, Department of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Department of Medical Pharmacology, Department of Medical Genetics.
Within the Department of Internal Medicine, there are a total of 152 faculty members, including 89 professors, 35 associate professors, 27 assistant professors, and 1 lecturer.
Currently, 34 subspecialty residents and 422 medical residents are continuing their education. To date, a total of 1,558 research assistants have become specialists in various branches within the Department of Internal Medicine.
The Health Application and Research Center of Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine provides health services to approximately 505,082 outpatients and inpatients annually through its relevant departments. The Department of Internal Medicine contributes to the protection and improvement of human health through its scientific research activities.
